What do You Get Someone Who Has Everything They Want?Men are so difficult to buy gifts for, right? While we really do admire them for their contentment and disregard for "stuff," it does make it challenging when trying to find something to give them that really shows how much we care - whether they're fathers, stepfathers, husbands, brothers, or someone who's stepped into any of those roles. We've come up with a few ideas here: #1 Cinema Vouchers and a Promise to Go AlongSure, everyone seems to have movies on demand these days, but nothing beats going to the cinema and seeing it on the big screen. Get some vouchers from your local independent cinema, arts centre, or multiplex, and include a promise to go along (that's what makes it special). For a real cinema buff, how about this handpainted film canister from Make It So Creations? #2 Explore Your Family HistoryRemembering holidays and celebrations, family members and old friends is one of the great joys we've sort of lost since all of our photos are on our phones these days. Why not take some of those pictures and get a photo book made? Or dig out the old photo albums and sit down with your dad and talk about the pictures? For a really special gift, you could also have a family tree made by Glitter Sweet Creations (available in our Camberley and Windsor shops) with everyone's names on it. #3 Plan a TripIt's been soooooo long, right? Whether he's looking forward to long haul travel, or just a trip to a National Trust site he hasn't been to yet, or maybe he just enjoys reading about other people's adventures, travel opens up (literally) a whole world of excitement. Plan a trip to go on together, or just let him lose himself in a some great travel writing. Your local bookshop, like our favourite The Little Bookshop in Cookham, is a great place to pick up books to plan travel, books to enjoy other people's adventures, and books to take along on the trip. #4 Quirky Art and Childhood ReadingWhether he's a collector of quirky art, or a a fan of classic comics, one of these unique decoupaged heads from Windsor artist Christine Richards would make a really special gift. A wonderful selection, including Beano, Winnie the Pooh, and others are available in our Windsor shop, as well as in our online shop. They make a great talking point and bring a smile to everyone's face. #5 Make a List of Your FavouritesShare a list of things you like. It could be movies, art, music....whatever you're into. Then talk about it. Talk with your dad about why you think he'll like something, and then after awhile, talk about what he watched or listened to. The idea is to share and talk.....and he'll think it's a really wonderful gift - we promise. (you could put your list in a nice frame or notebook to make it even more special). #6 You Can't Beat a Good CardWhatever you give, a unique card is the perfect thing to go along with it. If the person you're buying for isn't into cars, drinking, or sports (which is all there seems to be available for men in the High Street shops)....or even if they are, but you're looking for something a bit different, we've got you covered. All of our shops have really special cards, like the ones on the left from MorethanDivine and Pocket Manor Cards, which you can find in Maidenhead - and the ones on the right, handcut by Katie Sarah in our High Wycombe shop. We hope these suggestions have helped a little. If you're still stuck, we have a huge variety of truly one-of-a-kind gifts in all of our shops. Why not pop in and have a browse? Craft Coop shops are located in Maidenhead's Nicholsons Centre, The Square in Camberley, The Eden Shopping Centre High Wycombe, and Windsor Yards in Windsor.
